Outside the museum, there are some great photographic opportunities with all of the different kinds of windmills as well as more exhibits. You can see a large industrial wind turbine that generates electricity.

The American Wind Power Center and Museum is open from May to September. Closed on Mondays, the museum is open from 10AM to 5PM from Tuesday through Saturday. It is open from 2PM to 5PM on Sunday. Admission to the museum is free, which fits everyone’s budget! However, you may wish to make a small donation, which goes to keeping the museum running.
