Coming to visit Austin nearly requires that you enjoy the experience of one of the "hippest" Austin hangouts: SoCo.  Her you will find quirky shops, trendy dining spots, unique accommodations, art galleries and music venues.

The First Thursday the area has merchants of the historic, pedestrian-friendly South Congress Ave. keeping their doors open for business until 10 pm (and later in some cases.)

There are a number of shops that will be fun for you to stroll through.  You will have a chance to meet some new people that are also visiting the area and get a taste of another side of Austin.
